Proposed Analysis: | This data will be used for the 2021 Advanced Psychometric Methods in Cognitive Aging Research conference. Analysis will use methods that address methodological challenges in biomarker studies of cognitive aging: 1) statistical tools that allow us to generalize from highly selected, specialized samples often included in biomarker studies to more typical population samples, and 2) contemporary methods for evaluation of mediation. Specific projects will include: Project 1. Examine selection factors underlying biomarker or neuropathology study participation. Project 2. Evaluate how selection factors in biomarker and neuropathology samples affect generalizability of associations of biomarkers with ADRD outcomes. Project 3. Generalize findings from biomarker and neuropathology studies to populations. Project 4. Evaluate biomarkers as mediators of effects of risk factors on ADRD outcomes. |
